Free Download Last's Anatomy : Regional and Applied (MRCS Study Guides) by Chummy S. Sinnatamby FRCS

Go to Anatomy books page ane Download Last'Anatomy book from that page.

This regional textbook of anatomy is aimed at trainee surgeons and medical students. Throughout it is rich in applied clinical content, knowledge of which is essential for both clinical examination and surgical procedures. Although regional in approach each chapter is structured to clearly explain the structure and function of the component systems. For this new edition the illustrations have been extensively re-drawn in full colour.

“In summary, Last’s Anatomy is one of the only remaining descriptive surgically orientated anatomy texts. Its 11th edition has greatly added clarity due to the new colour scheme and updated images. Consequently, it will continue to be popular not only with postgraduates studying for the MRCS examinations but also with all those who appreciate the importance of sound anatomical knowledge in clinical practice.”
Annals, Royal College of Surgeons of England. 2008; 90; 445-446

Had an online tip that it was a really anatomy book (I teach the subject for a Medical School) and it supposedly had many clinical correlations and tips as to how anatomy correlated with it. Unfortunately, the actual anatomical detail was somewhat lacking. So what we have is an average book wtih occasional anatomical-clinical correlations.

This textbook is one which I would recommend to any medical student learning anatomy,or any surgical trainee. It is very clear and concise in terms of text, and very detailed. The diagrams are a bit poor, but if you use it in conjunction with an anatomy atlas, you should have no problems. It's finest feature, and the one which has led me to rave about it so much is that it is very clear regarding the general principles of anatomy, and this has helped me no end to understand the subject fully - a definite prerequisate to knowing the subject. It is filled with aids to memory, and it is very good for those trying to learn the subject for the first time. Trust me, I am one.

I love it, I recommend it to anyone who's preparing for part one.
It is also user friendly, lekker book.
